Bonjour! It's been so much fun reliving our trip as I review our pictures and create these posts each week! As much as I love bogging, it was so relaxing to live in the moment our entire trip and take a break from spending as much time online and in social media. It was a once in a lifetime trip, and I enjoyed every minute of it!
My next few posts from the trip will be covering the Gardens of Versaille, our rehearsal dinner where we rented a yacht to sail around the city of Paris on the Seine, our wedding(!!!) and our honeymoon in the South of France! So many amazing memories to share!
Matthew and I started off our 3rd week renting bikes and exploring the city together! We biked from our apartment to Luxembourg Gardens, the Eiffel Tower, Parc Monceau and more. We had the greatest time! Biking was such an easy and relaxing way to get around, I would highly recommend it when traveling in any major city! We hopped off our bikes to grab lunch, or walk around the parks, and then grabbed new bikes when it was time to move on.
Look at how much Josie has grown in one year! The first picture in almost exactly 1 year ago when we stayed in the same apartment! I tried so hard to recreate the photo, but trying to get a 2 year old to smile and look when you ask them...well, maybe next year!
I stopped into the original Cartier boutique to pick up Matthew's wedding band and have my rings cleaned before the big day! It was such a gorgeous shop with such history. I love being in the city where so many of the incredible fashion houses and jewelers I adore were founded.
I spy a little one trying to run away from me!! This little 2 year old gets faster and faster everyday, it's hard to keep up!
The next few pictures were taken at the Rodin Museum, which I absolutely recommend! It is a beautiful estate and grounds located in the 7th arrondissement which is dedicated to the works of French artist Auguste Rodin. The estate is filled with works by various painters and sculptors, while the garden holds Rodin's most famous works on display. The gardens were absolutely beautiful to walk through, and a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Next we moved on to the Musée D'Orsay, which is one of my favorite museums in the city! It includes such a stunning collection of art and holds an amazing view of the city from its clock tower. I've never been a museum lover, but Paris has absolutely turned me!
And finally closing out with a picture Matthew took of me on the subway the day before the wedding celebrations started! With 35 friends and family members in town, constant emails about the flowers, seating chart, make-up artist...those last few days before the wedding I was in high concentration and on detail overdrive! I am SO SO SO excited to share more pictures with you all!
Have a wonderful Monday!
