Hello Beauties! Sorry for being completely AWOL last week - I was SO busy! But busy in the best way, so I wanted to recap with some pictures :)
The week started off on a low note with Josie being VERY sick. My poor girl had a temp of 104° and despite being an absolute rockstar normally when she is sick and just toughing it out, this time was a little different. Maddie also had her 4 month checkup with shots and has recently decided to stop sleeping at night, so between those two, blogging was the last thing on my mind.
By mid week things were looking up, and thank goodness because I had a trip to Chicago planned! Thursday morning Madeline and I hoped a flight to O'Hare and began our whirlwind 2 days of wedding reception planning!
I couldn't get over how beautiful the views were from my hotel room. We stayed at the Swissôtel Chicago and it was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in awhile.
Over Thursday and Friday we had multiple tastings, picked a caterer and set a tentative menu. Picked out our linens, met with the florist, decided on arrangements and centerpieces and I am all set on my alternation dates for my dress! I cannot wait to see how gorgeous our venue will look once everything comes together (here is the link to where I posted about our venue in Chicago). Whew! Madeline was an angel while we were there, I couldn't believe how lucky I got!
Thursday evening Matthew sent me this photo of Josie. She stayed home with him and they took our little boat out for an evening cruise. Could she be any cuter??
Friday after our last appointment I rushed back home because my best friend and her fiancé were staying with us all weekend and had arrived that morning from New York! You may remember Nichelle from her very popular guest posts 'getting serious about skincare' and 'getting serious about exfoliation'. We lived together for years in our early 20's, now she's off working with supermodels and celebrities in Manhattan at Beaute Oblige skin clinic - I'm so jealous :)
Our weekend together was a blast, filled with pool time, long walks and relaxing! The weather was GORGEOUS in Minneapolis the last few days! Nichelle and I finished off the weekend with a trip to my favorite new dinner spot, 4 Bells :)
And then, BEYONCÉ!
Wiz Khalifa opened, and things started off a little rough with a rain delay, but the show went on! She was amazing, and our seats (standing room off the stage 'the BeyHive') were incredible! I've been a huge fan of Beyoncé ever since the early days of Destiny's Child! It was such a dream to see her preform live with such an amazing view!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying this spring weather!
