Thanksgiving Week in the Bay Area!

Happy Thursday! The week after vacation is almost over (!!!) and with Matthew in France this week it's felt LONGGGGG. Anyone else feeling it?

I wanted to do a fun little recap in photos of our awesome trip to the Bay Area last week for Thanksgiving! We stayed in Belvedere, but also explored Tiburon, Sausalito, Mill Valley and San Francisco. It was such a fun trip with the kids, we loved every minute of it!

Madeline and I loved the view from the plane! I wanted to let everyone know I am working on a post about flying with children, since we have a lot of experience now with babies and toddlers. Let me know of any specific questions you have and I will try to make sure and address them!

So -2 hour time difference + 2 little kiddos = Mama up at 3am most days (insert ALL the sad faced emojis)! So the one upside was the gorgeous sunrises I saw every morning! This was the sun rising over Angel Island from Belvedere on a rainy morning.

We hiked up the Sausalito coast and caught this gorgeous view of the water and bridge! It's so beautiful here, even when the weather is dreary.

Oh and p.s. this is my ALL TIME FAVORITE ice cream! I pretty much only eat ice cream on vacation, but when I'm in California I always make a point to get some McConnell's, which is made in small batches and only sold in CA. It's seriously incredible. If you live in CA, do me a favor and eat some for me!!

One of our favorite parts of the trip was our family ride on the ferry over to San Fran. The girls had the best time on the boat, watching other boats go by and pointing out the bridge and city.

We had the best time. We fed the birds bread, explored the city, visited the seals along the Warf and Matthew was a serious warrior pushing the double stroller up the STEEP San Francisco streets!

My favorite part of visiting this area is always heading to Muir Woods, which is north of the bay. It's INCREDIBLE. Pictures absolutely do not do this place justice, it is a must see if you're in the area!

Our favorite tradition is to head over to Stinson Beach after exploring the woods. Parkside Cafe is a MUST. I can't recommend it more. And they even have an adorable park across the street so the kids can play while you wait for your table, or for the food to arrive.

We had a sweet little Thanksgiving at our airbnb, which was so great, The house came stocked with all the pots, pans and spices I needed, so we didn't need to sacrifice the holiday for traveling!

On our last day there, Matthew and I took the ferry to Angel Island and hiked to the summit! It was a wonderful experience, and a great end to our trip!

Thanks for following along, I hope you loved the pictures!
