Can you feel it? Christmas is THIS WEEK! This year it feels especially unbelievable that we're already here, as it means this baby is coming SO SOON! So many blessing this season, I really cannot give thanks enough!
This weekend was filled with so much Christmas (and sugary) goodness! We started off Friday with an early morning and some breakfast before getting ready to go meet Santa!! All week I had been holding up my adorable Santa mug and asking Josie who it was to help her learn the word Santa. Lol we're at about 50% now, so I'll take it! We even took a selfie together right before we left for the mall!
Jos did so well! I secretly love the hilarious pictures of kids crying and looking terrified by Santa - but in reality I was glad we could avoid the tears and tantrum. She loved Santa's workshop so much that she refused to look at the camera - there was way to much going on outside of the picture! She keep yelling 'mama, cho-cho!' pointing to a large train set in the corner.
After Santa we headed into the Disney store, which is always a fun little adventure for her. They have a table and chairs set up with crayons, I had fun watching her play with the other kids in the store and color. It's so great to find places like that to get some activity in when it's too cold to go to the park anymore.
Friday night was a great time - I went to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens with my little nerd :) I have actually always liked the Star Wars movies, I grew up watching them every time they were on TV with my Dad. Having seen all of the earlier movies many times, and the prequels at least once, I was looking forward to this movie - and wow, it really was fantastic! Above is a picture of me before we left, and a little 37 week update!
Saturday was such a fun day! I organized a cookie baking party with my friends and it was such a success I think I will make it an annual tradition! We had a total of 14 women over and made around 20 dozen cookies, it was crazy!
I was so busy the whole day that I actually didn't take a single picture, so these beauties were all taken by my friends! I love how gorgeous the sugar cookies turned out. We all had so much fun decorating them and spending time together!
We even got some awesome baby time in when my friend Jessica brought her ADORABLE little boy, Bauer. He was such a little tropper and let everyone play with him!
Lol Bauer needed a little nap break after all the excitment! It's a hard life being a popular little baby!
The delicious chocolate crinkles we made! Everyone left WAYY to many cookies at our house after - so be prepared to see me eating cookies for every meal this week! They're going to need to wheel me into the delivery room!
And this was my entire Sunday. After all the excitement of the party I was EXHAUSTED (remember last post when I said not to take on too much...) So I spent my Sunday taking it really easy and relaxing - and of course eating cookies! BTW, anyone who knows me knows I'm a little obsessed with mugs, and I am so in love with this new Santa one! I picked it up at Patina, which are amazing stores local to Minneapolis/St. Paul. I have tried finding the same mug to link on here, but instead I found some similar options here, here and here!
Well, in the final days before Christmas I wish everyone good luck in your last minute shopping!! Thanks for taking the time to read about our weekend, I hope yours was wonderful as well!
