So now that the madness of Black Friday and Cyber Monday has come and gone, I'm happy to report that I have received and tried out all of my purchases from that crazy shopping weekend and am ready to report back.
I didn't splurge too much this year (ok...maybe I did at ShopBop...) but I thought it might be helpful for me to review the products I am keeping and loving, and the ones which are going back.
After seeing this beautiful Snow Dusting Throw at Anthropologie while I was out shopping during this post, I was beyond excited to see it on sale for Black Friday and scooped it up. It's so luxurious, extremely soft and really keeps you warm. It even got Matthews stamp of approval, he loves the color! Unfortunately this specific color seems to be sold out online, but there are still other options and the price has been dropped. I totally recommend it, the pom poms are such a cute touch and it's a great addition to our living room!
I also ordered this 'I love you a latte' mug awhile back from Ily Couture. It was actually a little gift I found for Matthew who always drinks lattes, but he rarely uses it - so I've claimed it as my own! I love collecting cute mugs, it honestly brightens up my mornings when I get to select my favorites everyday as I make my coffee. I'd love to hear what morning routines you enjoy!
Moving on to Shopbop (which ps right now take an extra 25% off all sale items with code BONUS25) I impulsively made a Stuart Weitzman OTK boot purchase while they were running their site-wide sale because OMG those boots NEVER go on sale! Well, they only put the shearling pair on sale, and it turns out it's because they are not nearly as comfortable. They were cute, but do not move well (the leather + shearling makes them too stiff) so they went back. Which is kind of a relief, I really didn't need 2 pairs in 1 year!
The next item I snagged was this Free People Tree Swing Top I'm wearing above. I'm keeping it and have already worn it twice, but fair warning, it runs HUGE. Like, I ordered an XS and it fits me at 9 months pregnant huge. In typical Free People fashion, it has a LOT of extra fabric, so I'm interested to see what it will look like on once I'm not carrying around an extra 30 lbs. But overall, super cute and comfortable. I love the color I chose, but it's also available in blue here.
Next up is the lariat necklace I paired with the top. The collar necklace I'm wearing was a gift from Matthew for Mothers day, but the lariat below is new from Nordstrom. Sadly it has already sold out, but I love the style so much I wanted to post a few similar options. I love this one from etsy, this one from Nordstrom is almost identical, and I really liked this and this from Bloomingdales. I kept all of these options around the same price point as mine - I prefer to keep my costume jewelry under $50.
Finishing off the purchases I made for myself, I bought this AMAZING Tom Ford Parfume, Neroli Portofino, which I have long been obsessed with. The bottle lasts forever, this will be my second bottle and I bought my first years ago in the 1.7 oz size. It smells like a sexy sweaty tropical vacation ad. I remember the first time I experienced it I was astonished at how a fragrance could convey such vivd imagery. Tom Ford is such a God. It's expensive, but so is absolutely everything Tom Ford makes so, duh - but it's so potent that 1 spray will do everyday. Well worth it if you're looking to splurge on a new fragrance (or asking your significant other to!)
Finally you made have seen these posted on my Instagram @touchofcurl (follow me!!) or in my last post when Josie was wearing the gray dress for our Christmas party. I am so in love with both of these adorable dresses, which are both now on major sale!! The dress on the left is by one of my favorite children's clothing brands, Peek. It's actually from the girls section rather than baby, so it's a little big on Josie, but I couldn't resist! Find this dress here, or here. If you're a fan of Peek, or have any babies or toddlers to shop for, this is the time! They have an amazing sale selection right now. For my local readers - the Mall of America location is STOCKED full of 50% off sale items!
The gray dress with the fur collar (which you can see Josie wearing here) is from Janie & Jack, my all time favorite place to splurge on baby and toddler clothes. It's almost sold out, but here are similar dresses with the fur collar on sale here, and here.
Ok well that wraps up my recent purchases! I hope you found this informative and I'd love to hear what you have been loving lately! Any great scores from Black Friday, or recent gifts you purchased or received that you're loving? I'd love to hear about them in the comments!
