Happy Halloween everyone!
Sitting on the couch, two kit-kats and a cup of tea in hand, I am totally enjoying these short and perfect moments of quiet that exist during nap times :)
It is incredible has fast these next couple months will fly by, our weekends are booked solid in Nov and Dec - and then POP, there will be a 2nd baby before we know it! I go back and forth between eagerly welcoming the addition ASAP, and remembering that I still have made NO headway whatsoever on our impending room change. I think this must be a second baby thing, anyone else??
So today, I sit - Pinterest board open, with thoughts and inspirations swirling around, trying to make some organized sense of the MANY nursery/big girl looks I'm trying to create.
SO I thought I would share some thoughts and pictures on this rainy, spooky Saturday. Opinions and suggestions are welcomed, encouraged, and legitimately needed at this point - And probably more coffee too...
Gender Neutral Nursery Looks
I love this star mobile I found on Etsy, Josie's mobile is adorable pink butterflies, which I think will move with her into her new room.
Loving this wallpaper, and gallery wall behind the crib!
Umm...everything about this entire room. Can I have the view too? Can I just move in - I can probably squish myself into this crib? But seriously, love the wall paper, and the look of the stripes for contrast.
Big Girl Room Ideas
Josie's nursery is perfect, I loved planning it and think it turned out beautifully (thanks to Matthew for being the greatest daddy/closet architect for her and getting it done!) But her new room is going to be a much larger space. I don't want to overwhelm the room with all pink walls again, so we're thinking of keeping it the current color of neutral gray, and adding a contrast wall.
All these pictures make me wish we had hardwood floors!! This light, airy teepee looks adorable. I think I know someones Christmas present already :)
I love the look of this gallery wall. I have been slowly collecting picture frames to add to it for awhile. We still have barely hung any of Josie's adorable newborn pictures, so this will be a perfect place to sneak a few in as well! If anyone has any leads on places to find inexpensive, fun frames - let me know!!
I love this. We have book shelves similar to this in the nursery which came from Land of Nod, which we will keep there. I want to get shorter ones like this for a narrow wall in Josie's new room. It's fun at night when she can go and pick her own bedtime story to read from the shelves.
Obsessed! I want to try and find this wallpaper...although it's probably decals which I hate. SO adorable for an accent wall look.
This is happening, I already got Matthew on board! We have an old modern white dresser from room and board which Evelyn no longer wants that would be perfect! With some pink ombré and new pulls, it will be the perfect repurpose and pop of pink!
Thanks for reading, would love to hear your input! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend enjoying Halloween!! Let the sugar coma commence!
