Happy Monday! I thought I would start doing little weekend wrap-ups to share some of the fun we had over the weekend, and let everyone get to know my family a little better!
Josie and I started this weekend off Friday morning, as usual making our trek to the Library where they have morning song and story time for the little ones! Josie adores this Friday tradition, 1/2 hour of stories and songs, 1/2 hour of toy time with her friends and then 1/2 hour after of exploring the library's children's area! Mommy likes it because all this playing always leads to a long morning nap :)
We like to walk there together, it's a really beautiful 2 mile walk along the greenway, and watching the leaves change right now is really beautiful! Beautiful, but cold!! The weather really dipped down this weekend, meaning it may be one of our last weeks to take longer walks together, so I am really trying to enjoy it while I can. One thing I loved about having a summer pregnancy with Josie was walking around the lakes every night to get a little exercise. I'll need to find new ways to get myself out and about more come January once it's freezing!
After her nap, Josie and I headed out to the park, followed by a quick trip to the mall. We popped into H&M and I couldn't resist picking up a couple adorable things for fall! I'm obsessed with this little 'très cool' bunny sweater, this sweet little flutter crochet top and these adorable little faux-leather biker boots! Josie loved them so much, she wanted to be part of the picture :)
(H&M has so many cute fall options right now, check back later this week for some of my favorite pieces they're carrying right now for little boys and girls!)
Later, Matthew and I had our normal Friday night date night - we ate at Mozza Mia in Edina, which I love! Their deep dish pizza is to die for! We then saw the movie Sicario, which was fantastic if you enjoy thrillers or crime dramas. We always laugh how we tend to gravitate towards dark and depressing movies, not exactly your typical date night rom-com :)
I suggested we finish off date night with some froyo even though it was freezing out - because, pregnancy! Yogurt Lab has a seasonal pumpkin spice flavor right now, and while I'm no pumpkin spice addict like some people - it tasted really good!
The rest of the weekend was really relaxed. My parents have been traveling a lot and wanting to spend more time with Josie, so they took her Saturday afternoon for her first overnight visit away from us. I think my mother had more fun than anyone, but pictures proved everyone enjoyed themselves!
Meanwhile, with Josie away for the night Matthew and I got a second date night (woohoo!) and I enjoyed sleeping in Sunday morning till 9am! Two things that literally NEVER happen. I spent the majority of Sunday working on ideas for the room switch we have coming up. Josie will be moving into her new 'I'm not ready to admit she's a big girl yet' room, while the new baby will be taking over her nursery next to our room. Her nursery is currently bright pink, so I'm changing it over into a more gender neutral style since we're waiting to find out the gender of baby #2. And Josie's new room is a fun project too! Stay tuned for updates on the progress of both!
Hope your weekend was fun filled and fall loving! As always, thanks for reading, and if you have any questions- ask away! I love sharing with everyone!
